Caritas Diocese Kabgayi team visited Kabgayi hospital patients and give them food and clothes.
On the 13th October 2023, Caritas Diocese Kabgayi team organized charity activity of visiting patients of Kabgayi hospital as the activity accompanying what were done in love and charity month of August. These patients were given cooked and uncooked food, hygienic materials and clothes.
This activity was establishes in 2012 and was enrolled in all diocese Kabgayi parishes. This where Caritas week was introduced where all Caritas Kabgayi team are intervened in charity works within one week. In Caritas Diocese Kabgayi, the activity of visiting these beneficiaries is done twice par year organized particularly by the department of health and social and charitable works department.
The budget is identified from the contribution of Caritas committee at Diocese level and team of Caritas workers; and Caritas as institution. Then they prepare what to give to those who are chosen by the hospital authority.
on this moment, Caritas Diocese Kabgayi joined together with TUVEMUBWIGUNGE-Kabgayi group founded by this Caritas and they all feed 55 people cooked food and uncooked food for 12 beneficiaries. This is not only done, but they foe medicine to some patients in need. After giving these primary need, they join conversations that bring hope and they pray together.
All reached people were so happy that they are not alone.
In general, all given are uncooked food containing rice, matoke, beans, porridge floor,sugar, vegetables and fruits.in other things, they were given clothes and hygienic materials like hygienic papers and soap.
Because this activity is important and needed more by beneficiaries, Caritas Diocese Kabgayi team is going to increase frequencies of doing this activities.
